Play a Lot, Pay a Little: Creatures Games 70% Off

Limited Time Sale on the Creatures GamesAny excuse to play Creatures is always a good one, especially when that involves bringing in some new players! The wonderful GOG is having another sale this weekend, which includes savings of 70% off the Creatures games! The Region-Neutral Non-Specific Seasonal Silliness promotion is good until January 20th at 4:59 PM GMT. There are a number of games included with the promotion, but this is the perfect opportunity to get ahold of Creatures: The Albian Years, Creatures Exodus, and even Creatures Village! I have been able to run all of these titles from GOG on Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems without any trouble. Windows 8 has been known to be a little shaky, but with a price tag of $1.79 each, it seems worth it just to add these to any collection. This is just about the only legal way to obtain Creatures for newer operating systems. GOG is a wonderful site with DRM-free games and a very engaged customer service team: It’s certainly worth it to support them! I still believe that the Creatures games have more dimensions than some newer games. Likely most visitors already have the games, but I always try to highlight these sales in case there is just one person who would like to try out something new at a very low price! Bottom line: Creatures is worth it.

Creatures Savings at GOGThe entire Creatures series is just $5.37 with this promotion… Hopefully that’s enough to convince a couple of potential new players to take on some Norns, Grendels, and/or Ettins! I’m heavily biased in favor of these games, though, and I understand that they’re not for everyone. Feel free to ask any questions about them: There’s always room for more people to have fun with these seemingly “old” games. Those graphics have stood the test of time, and for a late 1990s game, Creatures 1 still seems like something that could have been released just now. Make sure to comment if you take advantage of this sale: It’s always nice to meet new Creatures players or talk with current ones!
