Strange Activity, Courtesy of Our Beloved Elder Norns

A little blue egg mysteriously made its way into Albia, and the incubator whirred to life as it always had. The precious little one looked amazingly like Orddu, yet they were entirely unrelated. Meet Orgoch, the daughter of Engan and Valla! She took a moment to collect herself and get ready to jump into this enormous new world. Her genome had gone through the breeding process relatively unscathed, with only a few minor mutations that barely deserved a first look. Orgoch quickly made herself a part of Albia, and was ready for just about anything!

On the other side of the world, Henwen and Ellidyr decided to share their relationship woes with one another. The Norn’s problems were rather boring, and sent Ellidyr off into a soft slumber. Henwen just went on chattering away, and only paused to slap her Grendel companion out of a deep sleep: No one fell asleep to her tales! Ellidyr was still madly in love, yet he confessed that his impending eleventh egg might have been a little much. He never dreamed of having such a large family with Achren!

Angharad decided to have a senior moment… A very odd one, actually! I found her carrying about a fully developed egg, which couldn’t have been too easy. She appeared rather awkward, yet she seemed focused on her goal. What goal, one might ask? Why, to throw it over the edge, of course! Angharad brought the egg perilously close to the precipice, and tried over and over again to send it over the side. I was rather alarmed, though there was nothing she actually could do.

When she failed, Angharad simply laid down to take a nap with her new possession! It seemed that she was just lonely, and wanted a new playmate to spend her time with. She had isolated herself for a short time, which made me wonder if she was planning to die away from the others. Luckily, her nap snapped her back to reality, and she gently laid the egg to rest before solemnly munching on a carrot. Angharad’s smile was back momentarily, and she headed off to do more important Norn stuff.

The bees carried word of Angharad’s loneliness across the land, and Gurgi smuggled a tired Llyan aboard the underground cart! While she napped, he pretended to be the captain of their vessel… I hadn’t the heart to point out that all he needed to do was to press a button! Llyan was rather groggy when they landed on the other side, and she wanted nothing more than to reach the surface again. Although the colorful lights made the underground cheery, there was no sunlight to enjoy. Gurgi had no complaints, since he sensed that Angharad was close by. No more lonely Norns on this side of Albia! Perhaps this would also lead to an increase in egg production.

Sure enough, Llyan and Gurgi met up with Angharad in a heartfelt reunion. Gurgi decided to investigate this strange new area… One sting from an angry bee was enough to shrink him and sprout gray hairs all over his body! He had just entered old age well into his eighth hour, which meant that he had plenty of life left in him. Gurgi eyed those buzzing bees with a wary glare, though. What a way to grow into an old Norn!
