Ainarda: The New Home of My C3/DS Norns

My main accomplishment in the C3/DS department was a successful reinstallation of C3/DS! Unbeknownst to me, my last attempt only properly installed Docking Station, while Creatures 3 was in trouble. An errant .cos file was the culprit, but after a few attempts, I was able to confirm that I could actually enjoy the Creatures 3 side of C3/DS again! This also gave me an opportunity to create a new world to prepare for the next generation. After wintering in Chione, I decided to add a good bit of color with Ainarda, created by Merboy. Eulalia was the first to enjoy the beautiful world, and she took it all in with a sparkle in her eyes. So much to see! And with plenty of food and toys scattered about, Norns would have to try to struggle!

Hevridia and Nysari stuck together in the new caves they would call their home. They panicked when they spotted an egg… Whatever could it be?! They ran away while I smiled to myself, for it was merely one of the few Easter-related agents I had introduced. Easter might have been over, but the colorful eggs made it seem more like spring! I was rather surprised with the size of Ainarda: I imagined that it would be large, but it turned out to be enormous. With the careful placement of elevines, I was able to create areas for the young males, females, and adults. Soon, everyone would meet together! It was hard to believe how many generations had come and gone already in such a short period of time.

A little further along in the caverns, Quenix and Jastial remembered the caves of Chione. This new environment was much more lush than where they had come from, but they had no idea what mysteries it might hold! The air felt warmer and food was more plentiful, but these two preferred to be creatures of habit. They adjusted to their new surroundings a little more slowly, though I could hardly blame them. Chione had been an excellent home. In time, I knew they would come to love this new world that had a little bit of everything to offer. Better yet and more accurately, a lot of everything!

The last female, who preferred to keep to herself during the move, was Ladres. She was perfectly content with the beautiful landscape, and the delicious food was just an added bonus! The next alpha couple determination test was just around the corner, and I had a good feeling about Ladres. I only had to wait a short time for the youngest males to mature, and then the chaos could begin! I’ve been surprised at how well this world concept has done: I originally thought I would need to make wholesale changes with the parameters, but there really hasn’t been an issue to date. Hopefully many more generations will be able to flourish in Ainarda and other metarooms. Stay tuned for a new video this week!
