A Short Absence for Discover Albia
Written onI wanted to quickly let everyone know that I am in the midst of a move, so Discover Albia will have limited updates for the next week or two. No worries, though! I have a lot of topics I plan on covering when the dust has settled, including genetics research and the start of a game in Docking Station. Feel free to suggest any new topics! I would never enjoy Creatures as much as I do if it wasn’t for this amazing community. Thank you, once again, to each and every reader who continually inspires me to explore Creatures. Discover Albia will be back in full swing very soon!

A “this is how I set up my world” post – with cobs and addons you like.
Im so excited for the docking startion world! woot! Im interested to find out more about pigmint shifts and color mutations. Ive gotten minor things. But how do I get a norn to evolve to not get sick in the jungle ter or breath underwater?
Great suggestions! I will definitely have a post about the COBs and updates I use in Creatures 1… I’ve been meaning to post that for some time, and I think it will be quite helpful.
I’ve got to get my head wrapped around the genetics of C3/DS a bit more, since there are a lot of new genes that exceed my C1 genetics knowledge! However, might as well start somewhere! I believe the evolutionary changes you mentioned will mostly come from mutations: For the first, there would probably be some mutations in the immune system. It is possible for creatures to be immune to certain antigens and poisons, mainly depending on the associated chemical reactions. As for breathing underwater, I imagine this would have to do with a mutation affecting oxygen. That gives me some ideas for genetic engineering tutorials… Thanks!
