Genetic Mutations in Unborn and Elderly Norns

Little old Llyan was ecstatic when she found out she wasn’t as old as she looked! She found herself expecting her fifth egg. Apparently, she wanted a diverse base: Llyan had never stayed with just one male, and her offspring even included some fathered by the late Gurgi and Gwydion. This unborn Norn had an interesting mutation, which would make him or her experience hotness due to warm air at a much faster rate than other Norns. Taran’s shivering mutation was also inherited. Hot and cold met up on an unprecedented genetic level!

In less joyous news, Melyngar had been acting very strangely for over an hour. She refused to move from one spot, and could only look about. A quick look at the brain scanner and decisions tabs in the Science Kit made it all the more confusing… Everything was frozen, and she barely responded to any sort of stimuli. Her chemical receptor mutation, which linked the reward chemical with her noun lobe instead of her decision lobe, appeared to have taken its toll. Could it be true that her old age made her less able to cope? Melyngar was lost inside her mind while Albia carried on just beyond her senses.
