From the Unborn to the Elders

After my little blunder of not paying close enough attention to the latest egg, a beautiful baby girl gave me the most adorable smile! I almost never can resist Horse Norns, but unfortunately, I had to export this beautiful baby named Enterra. She will be re-imported into Albia at the point when her egg would have been placed in the incubator. I feel like a monster for taking her away… She’ll be with the rest of the Norns soon enough, though, and rightfully take her place among the family!

Meanwhile, Evria and Rafin’s egg seemed to be quite the center of attention for some Norns! Onessa was all but mesmerized by such a shiny object. I love her eye color and how nicely she has grown up. I wonder if she was thinking about what it would be like to have an egg of her own someday. Onessa certainly would make a wonderful mother! She was just about old enough to start considering motherhood. Or, perhaps she just liked shiny objects! The latter was probably the real reason… Norns just love to pay attention to different things for seconds at a time.

This unborn Norn sure is getting a lot of camera time, even if it is hiding in the background! Recognize this guy? Noric entered his next life stage, and really doesn’t look exceptionally old. Especially with that smile and full tummy, I expect he has a lot of living left to do! I’m very happy to see him enjoying Albia so much, after he suffered so much from my lack of communication skills. Although I think he still holds a grudge against me, Noric’s happiness seems to indicate he may have forgiven me. Or maybe he’s simply thanking Tarlia for pointing me in the right direction!

Old age doesn’t necessarily mean the end of new life, as Adria realized to everyone’s surprise. Although I had checked up on her with the breeder’s kit numerous times, I figured that her estrogen production wasn’t enough to expect another egg. As I was feeling a little sad that I wouldn’t see another baby from my first Norn, a cute little egg suddenly appeared! Timren was probably just as surprised as I was! I’ll be keeping a close eye on this egg in order to avoid having to export any other Norns.

How perfect of a picture was this? Evria embodies the epitome of joy here, as she took her carrot for a ride under the garden! The funny thing is that she refused to eat it even after the cart had stopped. She certainly is a gentle Norn, and a very fertile one at that! Since Adria laid her egg, both Evria and Avira have become pregnant! I still think they’re all conspiring against me, since they seem to enjoy laying their eggs in batches. It will be interesting to carefully move each egg at the right moment!
