Returning to a Creatures 2 World
For the longest time, Discover Albia has focused almost entirely on Creatures 1 and Creatures 3/Docking Station. Give a Creatures player enough time with a computer, and every game in the series will come up! I spent some time beginning to plan a new world in Creatures 2. It is easily the most unreliable game in the series, with plenty of glitches and problems that are coded in. It is sometimes the most difficult Creatures game, with many dangers and highly unintelligent beings. All the same, I would love to get back into C2 after my failed world. Having another world also opens up the opportunity to focus on a species that might not usually get a lot of attention!
As with most of my new worlds, it often takes a few practice runs to make sure that there is the right mix of COBs. I also try to run a cursory test on my Creatures to make sure their genetics work! The Creatures 2 breed I plan to work with has been suggested to me on several different occasions: Can you guess what it is based on this very obscure photographic hint? If all goes well, I may also incorporate some unique characteristics to make these Creatures a little different from their usual counterparts. There is still a bit of work ahead for me, yet hopefully this will get some Creatures 2 fans excited about a new set of updates in the future! Just hope the glitches don’t pop in to visit.

It’s either the Albian Ants again or the Hive Ettins, right?
You got it! It’s the Hive Mind Ettins, although I’m working on a few aspects to make them more unique. That itself is a project, but at least this world is well on its way to coming alive. I have a feeling I’ll return to the Albian Ant Norns at some point, too, although the Ettin world will be first. After all, I don’t think I’ve featured a single Ettin in a post… Aside from silly Gene Gnome in the genetics lessons!
