New Arrivals in Albia
It’s amazing how quickly time can fly in Creatures, and how a few Norns can make the world seem out of control. But I think that’s part of the challenge of the game: Being able to have a functioning Albia that doesn’t require constant attention. Indeed, too much attention is counterproductive to a Norn’s learning… Something I may be guilty of at times!
With Adria and Noric providing the foundation for a second generation, I decided that it was time to diversify the available gene pool a little bit. Meet Evria, a first generation White Haired Pixie Norn! I regret not being able to take as many photos of her, since I had to attend to the rest of the group. There was a lot to do, though, and Evria didn’t seem to mind all that much. Either that, or she started a grudge that she would hold onto for some time!
Evria didn’t seem to mind being left to her own devices, though: She quickly discovered the wonderful noises that instruments and toys can make! Those pointy ears of her are quite adorable: Eventually, I hope she will pass along her looks and good nature! She managed to pick up all sorts of nuances in her musical notes and put together a lovely solo concert. It wasn’t actually all that amazing, but I wasn’t about to shatter the hopes of a baby!
Meanwhile, Adria was her usual fertile self and ended up pregnant before I had a chance to teach Evria everything about the world! The bad news is that Adria loves to run away from food, as she used to do in a playful manner, but it is now having an effect on her life force. She still eats… Just not as easily as she used to. After laying her second egg, she was quite surprised to meet Evria, who might create a bit of competition for the attention of the males! This looked like a scenario Adria had not considered up until this point.
After a little while, the top of the egg cracked open, and out came a little Adria! Hidden behind the eggshell, it was a little hard to see exactly what she looked like. But that tell-tale blonde hair and green eyes pointed to a little girl. This is Avira, Adria and Noric’s child! She looked just as happy as her parents, and it was lovely to welcome her into the world. There was no telling what her future might hold, but I was certain it had to be positive.
Avira has a very pretty appearance, with attributes from all three base species from Creatures 1! She is a very smart little Norn, although she tends to keep to herself most of the time. The most important aspect about her is her appetite: I can’t be positive, but it looks like her hunger remains very low, and can be satisfied with a small meal. Alternatively, she prefers to eat when I’m not hanging about… Either way, she is a very welcome addition to Albia, along with Evria!
