Cracked Eggs and Hatched Eggs in Creatures
I previously mentioned how Anshou and Chario formed a very close bond, yet the two brothers were soon shadowing one another! They made an adorable pair as they set off to explore the lower levels of the Biodome. Their spots made me a little dizzy, although it was a very welcome change from the typical appearances of the last few generations! They somehow traveled up to the main level without the use of an elevine or lift… Anshou nearly came face-to-face with his father! I limited the males to the lowest two levels, which still gave them plenty of room to explore.
Newbeau took a short shower beneath the refreshing waterfall: I could just picture the water drops falling over him! Harpis appeared to be frozen in some sort of ballerina pose, though it was mostly a side effect from her recent pregnancy. This alpha couple had a strong case of love, and it showed! Forthil was not to be forgotten, however. She soon had a trio of eggs on the way! It will still take another generation to get a good amount of diverse appearances, though the next generation is definitely off to a great start! I’ve also learned some things along the way to keep appearances unique.
The single egg from Newbeau and Harpis revealed a female, Henrias, who would inevitably be exported. Her Civet Norn body gave her a bare tummy that was beyond precious. As with the other babies, she was greeted by Coconut Dolly! This surrogate mother was quite a big hit, and encouraged these youngsters to share their enjoyment of the Survivor game. Maybe Coconut Dolly also whispered some secrets of life, so that these babies would be on the right track to survival. Henrias remembered what she had been told as the blue blur signaled her move into cyberspace, and ultimately a new home.
Forthil successfully laid her three eggs, and the first hatched into a very camera shy female! Ixenba toppled to the ground when she figured out that it was picture time. The poor little Norn was rather frightened and startled, yet a few gentle tickles on her head brought her back to her senses. Ixenba inherited all of her characteristics from her father, yet Forthil still had two more chances to pass along her unique Bruin Norn body. Maybe the next wouldn’t be so shy! Ixenba certainly preferred to stay quiet and hidden.
One of my wishes came true! Jeminisa sported the beautiful auburn coloring of her mother, yet she seemed to share the same shyness in common with her older sister. I have been very pleased with how these different breeds have meshed together! Some have not been perfect, but I suppose I got lucky with the way this family group has evolved, at least in terms of appearances. Jeminisa was only too glad to be placed in the Norn Meso and get some time to herself!
Not surprisingly, Forthil’s third egg held a son, who took on the name of Kylin. There was nothing special or exciting to note about him. Some may wonder why I even bother to write about the Norns who immediately get exported! I enjoy keeping an account of this entire Norn population, and even though Kylin only spent a minute or two in the world, he still ended up playing a small role. Remember: Every Creature has a role to play, no matter how big or small! Some simply stand out a little more than the others.
In all the excitement, Ethera ended up in a rendezvous with Newbeau. Strangely enough, she experienced another single pregnancy. I may need to make some changes to the pregnancy parameters, since the next generation is getting slimmer and slimmer! Lorton was a male, but that didn’t stop him from flashing a smile that nearly took over his little baby face! His birth marked the end of Ethera’s line, unfortunately, though this line was directly merged into the alpha male line.
With so many lines dying out and a need for a new member of the group, I happily hatched a brand new egg! Mayshi is a Bengal des Neiges Norn, with Silvak’s Snow Bengal Patch I hoped she would blend in with the population, while still offering a new appearance. This breed is not based on the CFE genome, so I cheated and simply altered the appearance genes of an existing CFE genome. Not very glamorous or exciting, but it worked! Mayshi slowly warmed up to her new home and peered about: Look at those emerald eyes! Such a pretty Norn.

Oh my! Bengals Des Neiges is a fabulous choice. They have to be one of the prettiest breeds around, in my opinion. I also love the name you gave her. Come on, Mayshi! *cheers for her*
mayshi <3 my god i forgot how much i loved that breed. hopefully you won’t have the same problem i had, their genes don’t seem to very re-memorable so i found it really hard to get any appearance from them in my generation of norn but the ones that did ended up becoming like the zebra norns :s
SpringRain: I can’t believe I haven’t used this breed in awhile! They’re so pretty, and I’m pretty sure Mayshi will end up blending in with the population very nicely. I’m on her team, too!
Lilliumbird: Hopefully she’ll be able to pass along her appearance genes. Then again, I always have the option of reintroducing another Bengal des Neiges Norn at another point… Mayshi is just too cute, though! I hope she ends up faring well when it comes time to having her own children!
