I really hope theres not things that you MUST pay for with bought in game currency. I’ll be disappointed if earning them is harder than he makes it sound
I think we will need a little more information about the coins: I do, however, agree with you in that objects or features should not solely be available at an extra cost. Collecting the coins could be rather fun, though! Yet as you pointed out, if it’s very difficult to earn them, the game could quickly become more frustrating than enjoyable.
I still think that Creatures 4 has a lot of potential! I see it now as more of a spinoff game, than a direct link from C3/DS. Creatures Village was something of a spinoff, and I still enjoy it! I think this is just a different direction for the game. Some might be disappointed, while others might adore the new concept. Until we have more concrete information, I think it’s fair to say that C4 can’t quite be written off yet.
I would love to see more footage from Fishing Cactus!
I was really hoping for a more advanced version of the C1,2, 3 and DS games but this doesn’t seem to be it. In that case, I am disappointed. It is starting to look more like this game is seeming more similar to facebook games in the whole doing “quests” and “earning coins”. I’m not a huge fan of facebook games, but know they can be very addictive, and so I still have a lot of hope that this game will still be fun to play even if it’s not specifically what I was hoping for.
The best thing about this is their still developing their game so we still have sort of a choice on the matter to let them know we don’t want this to be a typical facebook game and what advances do they have that surpass C1,2,3 – hopefully someone who knows about the game gives them a interview – they can’t neglect their core audience like that.
Kittie: I’m kind of in the same boat as you. Although I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m disappointed, I think Creatures 4 is shaping up to be more of a spinoff on the series than an advanced version of the original games. It still could be fun, though! I’m already thinking about developing some things for the original games, which might breath some new life into them for me!
Anonymous: Very much agreed! The current Creatures players should be a very important audience for the new game. It’s not like Fishing Cactus owes us anything, but it would be nice for our community to be recognized throughout the development. Hopefully they have been reading some of our comments and see where they could tweak the game as it continues to be developed. I don’t think Creatures 4 needs to be scrapped or redone: There are some changes that still could be made to appeal to those of us who still play. It will be interesting to read more information in the coming weeks and months!
