Determined Albian Norns

The females in Creatures 1 usually take a good deal of time to fully recover from a pregnancy. I had false alarms on numerous occasions with Eydis, who had only recently laid her very first egg. Arik and Truett wasted no time hunting her down when she was fully recovered, though! Truett had spent a good deal of time with Signe, and I hoped that he would be able to become a father through Eydis. She had other plans, however, and virtually frightened her beloved Arik away immediately after becoming pregnant for the second time! This unborn baby has no genetic mutations: Quite the cause for celebration!

Meanwhile, Dagny began her exploration of Albia as soon as she had mastered the verbs. Her tiny legs made her travels quite slow, but this allowed her to take in the sights. She spent a long time going up and down various lifts. I never understood the appeal of constantly using an elevator, but Norns have their own opinion on entertainment! Dagny also developed a special affinity for honey: She managed to scarf down the contents of two honeypots in a matter of moments! I could never imagine it as a main source of nourishment. I would have much rather enjoyed sharing some honey-smothered biscuits and tea with the Shee!

After what seemed like a lifetime, Eydis finally delivered a tiny egg in the same pattern as the one she had emerged from. Her timing was impeccable, as always. Truett seemed to be on a mission to stalk Eydis! Although she was the more determined Norn, it looked like he was going to stick by her side. After all, Arik couldn’t be the only one to have some eggs lying around. Signe was the only other adult female Norn in Creatures 1 at the moment, and her infertility meant that Eydis was the apple of Arik’s and Truett’s eyes. She seemed to bask in the attention, though, and I found myself separating her from the males more often. Too much doting could be a bad thing, and after all, she needed her beauty rest! Then again, Eydis liked the extra kisses and tickles. She was capable of handling herself with the boys! I vowed to let her do her own thing, so long as she was taking decent enough care of herself.

I could not forget about Bera, though! She was only ten or twenty minutes away from aging into an adult, and I hoped that her early entrance into childhood would speed up the process. She was a very self-sufficient Norn: Her choice of food and herbs was a nicely balanced diet, and she also took the time to move away from the others to rest. With such a wonderful smile, I could not help but fall even more in love with Bera. Cute, cuddly, and smart!
