A C3/DS Underwater Project in Motion
After quite an ordeal of sorting through genetics and changing my mind a few dozen times, I am happy to present a video of the Colortrue Pearl Mermaid Norns for C3/DS! I still have a few things to tweak, and I would love to create a few more color varieties before the actual release. There are numerous updates that were made both in response to excellent input, and from my own observations. This project transformed from developing a few pretty colors into my first C3/DS genetic breed. Many of the changes are rather simple, but nothing beats being able to go into the Genetics Kit without totally ruining everything! Enjoy this preview, featuring many colorful Norns!

Oh, these look nice. Definitely stoked to see them get released!
On another, completely unrelated note, I’m pretty sure the cuttlefish count themselves among the critters that can’t be interacted with.
Thanks! I’ll have to look into the cuttlefish. They come from the Cuttlefish Launcher, but I’m not sure if they’re actually coded any differently from the usual ones. I know they can’t be eaten, yet I could have sworn some of the Norns were pushing them. I could easily be wrong, though! Thanks for pointing that out as a possible source of confusion!
Particularly if your norns have been exposed to other, more pushable, ‘critters’ (the Zanderfish, the Crobsters?), they will learn that pushing this critter reduces boredom, so they’ll generalise and try and push all critters. :) This is why the Creatures Development Standards were proposed:
