The Relief of Catching Up with the C3/DS Egg Queue
Finally, I has nearly caught up on hatching the multitude of Norn eggs from Creatures Docking Station! All I had were Zeera’s two eggs, and then I could get back to spending some time with the main group. A little female named Yenki popped out of the first egg: She looked almost exactly like her mother! Her grandmother, Seyon, certainly took her time in joining the group, yet the Magma Norn presence is quite strong with this group. I rarely notice any shivering, so perhaps their need for a very warm climate has been reduced with the mixing of different genes. Yenki was very happy in her new home!
Zeera was lucky: Her second egg also revealed a little female! I named her Elania, and whisked her off to the Norn Meso. She looked very similar to her sister, but they are not actually identical. Yenki has a Bengal Norn tail, although her first picture focused in on her head, rather than her rump! There was so much to discover for a new Norn, and Elania hardly knew which way to walk. I had to add a few more pieces of food while I had the time, since there were a whole lot of females gorging themselves on everything they could grab! Typical of them not to leave anything for anyone else.
I realized that I had anticipated spending time with the main group of Norns, yet I found out that there were actually only three. Ryleen was the only female who had yet to have any children of her own. Despite this, I thought I saw a twinkle in her eye: The once overpopulated Scribble Room was now an enormous paradise for just a few Norns. Ryleen had most of it to herself, and she was very fond of wide open spaces! Fawkix had raced across the fallen log and planted himself on the other side… Perhaps he heard my desperate telepathic wishes for him to give me a break. Sometimes, I wonder that if Norns had more free will, if some would choose not to become parents. There’s something quite pleasant about being a single Norn without any worries: Ryleen was determined to stay carefree! I only wondered if she wouldn’t change her mind one day.
During all this time, I hoped that Fawkix and Naeda would add a few more sons. Currently, there was one lone male in the Norn Terrarium, and he was growing bigger and bigger. When Fawkix managed to walk closer to his mate, they finally shared a kisspop. Oddly enough, though, Naeda only was carrying a single egg. All the same, at least I could hope for another male! The alpha couple decided to rest comfortably with one another, content with their small family. There was still plenty of time, yet I couldn’t help but wonder if the next alpha male would have little competition.

Not much to note in reply to this one except that I’ve found the most patient “teacher” Norn in C1 tended to be those who had never had children of their own.
Also, I checked and you can do the Ctrl+i thing to put Norns into the inventory, though you have to manually pull them out.
