Talented and Talentless in Creatures 1
There came a time in Albia when everyone decided that they needed to show off a unique talent! Pfeffablel successfully used a carrot for directional assistance, before gobbling it up. A sudden competition to find the best talent in Creatures 1 soon erupted! My Grendel, Dahloi, set the bar very high when he picked a lemon. It wasn’t just any lemon, either: That was a flying lemon that he picked out of mid-air as it flew by! Dahloi was reluctant to eat the rather magical lemon, seeing as it put him at the top of the list for interesting Creatures talents. Could it make him stand out against everyone else? My Norns took to the proverbial stage, ready to showcase their acts…
Preetar’s act was like the magic show act from the kid who wasn’t very good at it. There’s always one at a talent show, as if it’s some sort of unspoken necessity. Magic probably would have been pretty awesome for Preetar. Instead, he brought the ever popular “Riding the Lift” act to life. He went up! He went down! … And that was all, aside from the mindless repetition. This wasn’t actually a case of eat elevator syndrome, though. Preetar just wanted to ride the lift for a little while. Unfortunately, that cost him dearly in the makeshift talent show!
Zelroo looked like she had a promising routine lined up, and I eagerly awaited her unique skill! Not surprisingly, she figured that her best talent was the way she ate everything in sight. Honeypots lay lonely and empty near her, and that well-stocked refrigerator was far from safe. She stuck her nose in there, opting to go straight for the cheese! It made more sense than picking up the pieces that lay around Albia for a really long time… One does wonder how that cheese manages to stay fresh! Although Zelroo was pretty talented in the balancing act portion of her act, no one was all that impressed… Especially the Norn judge who was saving that piece of cheese for later!
It all came down to Thrennion. Could he perform better than Dahloi with his special talent? He committed a slight breach of etiquette by copying the lemon idea, but he had something different to show off! Thrennion decided to be inventive and come up with an entirely new Creatures sport. What was that sport? Lemon hurdling. Yes, lemon hurdling! He picked up his lemon, dropped it, “jumped” over it while picking it up, and repeated the process a few times. It was pretty funny to watch, although I was pretty sure I remembered seeing this behavior before. I wasn’t about to spoil Thrennion’s day, though! Although he was pretty entertaining, I had to crown Dahloi the winner of this unofficial talent competition! What do you think?

I read the article on Eat Elevator Syndrome, and i was wondering if that is the same reason why my c2 norn keeps saying “Carra eat toy.” Her name is Carra.
Hmm, that might not be a case of eat elevator syndrome, mainly because it’s a phenomenon in C3/DS. Creatures 2 Norns are a little more problematic in general, especially with their brains. Are you using the default Norns, or ones with updated genomes? Only reason I ask is that some of the updated versions, like the Akamai Canny Norn, include fixes for some common brain issues. Sounds like Carra might be confused about what a toy is supposed to do! I would be happy to offer up some more help, though: Feel free to share some more details!
