The Unusual Ways of the Norn

The Most Interesting Albian Idea of AllAfter continuing her reign in the spotlight due to her interesting ideas, such as napping in the shower, Krathlaysi looked like she was ready to settle down and give her ideas a rest. Something came over her, though, as if a lightbulb went off in her mind! As soon as she saw Hleengar, the idea of her very first egg popped into her mind, and she was very successful… If not a little confused about how it would take some time before she had to lay her egg! Perhaps a child of hers would carry on the tradition of inventive ideas.

A Bald Little Old Man NornOn the other side of my Creatures 1 world, I was rather astonished to spot an apparent newcomer to the group. This small Norn couldn’t be Preetar, the youngest Norn, yet he was so small! Then I spotted the bald head. To my surprise, Mayth had advanced into old age at under five hours old. His genetic mutations had absolutely nothing to do with aging, but this seemed like a very young Norn to look so old. There are odd cases where Norns age at vastly different rates, contrary to genetics. At least Mayth had three unhatched eggs to carry on his legacy. But he would have to do without his hair!

The Art of Escaping Detection in AlbiaDuring this time, I was still struggling through the commotion of taking care of three pregnant Norns and keeping an eye out for their eggs. It was a challenge getting the stubborn ones to listen to me and eat, but it all worked out! Only the one Norn I thought could care for herself, Hybralvao, suddenly took a dive in the life force department. I rushed over to find her in a lift, acting as casually as ever. Only there was evidence of what she had done, and it was toxic. That deathcap mushroom was far too irresistible! I guessed that Hybralvao merely wanted to show off her adventurous side, even though it was a pretty bad way of showing it. She had enough sense to sample the toxic weed when she was already in nearly perfect health. At the same time, Mayth decided that he really wasn’t very pleased with his new appearance. He dragged around a honeypot, which was slightly heavier after his old age shrinking. Poor little guy! Both he and Hybralvao got a boost of starch and love, and then they headed off. Chances were good that I would have to visit with them again soon… No more deathcap mushroom encounters, please!

From One Side of Albia to the Other in a FlashIn the vicinity of this trouble, I noticed a familiar but misplaced Norn in the area. Krathlaysi was very happy underground near the still and shower, yet she showed up out of nowhere in the jungle. She ran around to catch my attention, which was quite easy to do! There was no mistaking that she was quickly turning into the most memorable Norn from this generation. The spotlight wasn’t going anywhere as far as she was concerned! I was happy that she managed to get out into the sunlight for a bit. Perhaps Krathlaysi was trying to scout out the best location to lay her egg. With her track record, I expected her to find a very unusual spot!
