Uninvited Guests on the Albian Island

The Hazards of Creatures 1Antigens and toxins. They were always present in Creatures 1, but they seemed ready to strike at the most inopportune times. Sometimes, though, they creep up when everyone is suspecting them. With everyone hanging out on or near the desert island, I felt prepared to deal with these random illnesses. Although they popped up randomly, they seemed to favor the desert island. Were the antigens taking a vacation, too? Antigen 6 attached itself to one of my Norns, and brought a few guests to the party. It wasn’t too dangerous, though, since it was after a very healthy Norn whose immune system was not at all lazy about doing its job. Then again, antibody 6 was also a chemical that built up rather quickly, with enough glucose. Who was honored with this newest illness?

A Happy Norn with a Lot of ToxinsIt was Zelroo, once again! After she fought off antigen 5, fate decided to test her again. The Albian antigens were really stumped about how to get to her! Apparently, Zelroo was one very popular target. Her secret weapon remained close at hand: Honey! Although it is low in nutritional value, my Norns typically eat enough of it to keep a steady stream of glucose available for antibody production. The last female of this generation was very proud of herself for being so strong and healthy! Luckily, she was an excellent eater who hadn’t yet been confused by the carrots. Albia was not an easy place to live in, yet Zelroo was getting along famously. If only she could have a different sort of visitor on the island…

Beating Down Antigens with New LifeAs if by magic, Thrennion finally left the garden to seek out some new Norn friends. Those evil carrots were his main source of company, and all they wanted to do was make him forget how to eat! Zelroo was filled with joy at the prospect of an actual Norn, rather than having to greet another antigen. The two Norns were very friendly, and decided that it was about time to add another egg to the collection. More importantly, though, Thrennion brought along a ball so that they could play together! Toys might always be more fun for young Norns, but even the adults can’t resist a game every now and then. No more illnesses here!

An Old Norn with Everything in the WorldThe one constant resident of the island turned out to be Preetar. He was closing in on ten hours of life, which was a big deal for him. As many may recall, he dodged danger very early in life, when he easily could have met his demise. Preetar was enjoying everything in his own personal area! He decorated the place with a few toys and other objects, while always making sure that I was on a honeypot filling mission. Although he was close enough to visit Thrennion and Zelroo, this was a time in his life when he simply wanted to enjoy the solitude. It seemed like a pretty good idea… Less Norn chatter for me to monitor, thankfully!
