Among the Deep and Dark Creatures Coral
The main area of my C3/DS world, Artemiidae, was already carefully populated with Reef Gliders and Colortrue Pearl Mermaid Norns. My next task was to hatch the Norns who would reside in the Deep Abyss metaroom. More about just how these breeds tie in with the backstory later, yet it all makes a little bit of sense! Down on the very bottom of this world was the realm of the Coral Reef ChiChi Norns, another breed by Grendel Man. The first two had interesting names: Amber Anostomas and Chartreuse Punctatus! They were quite fun to pronounce.
Two Norns to represent this breed may have seemed like enough, but I had my reasons for hatching two pairs. Thistle Channa was right at home among the coral, and looked like he was doing a good job of hiding out! One of the nice things about the Coral Reef ChiChi Norns is their changing colors throughout their life stages. They might not have completely revamped genomes like other breeds, yet I’ve always had good success with them! My only issue was their penchant for eating critters… The crobsters were soon eaten up completely! I needed to find a hardier critter.
At last, the final Coral Reef ChiChi Norn hatched. She had another lovely name from my custom catalogue file used by Protective Tub: Monochrome Polyzona! At the far east end of the Deep Abyss, she was on her own and completely happy with the food selection. Not to spoil any surprises, yet she was the closest one to a danger that was still locked away, but not for long. I hoped that these Norns would manage to live a peaceful existence before they were subject to anything of that sort. Luckily, there was nothing for them to fret over just yet… Except for the lack of crobsters! If they could only work in a similar way to the C2 Crabs, which were only edible as babies.
Plenty of time elapsed before I could check back in on my first Norns, the Reef Gliders. Azure Inermiidae was old enough to start swimming about, and he looked like he was in all his glory! Although he was able to go anywhere in Artemia Sea, he stuck close to his hatching spot. After all, he and Platinum Tropheus grew up together and were very close. This concluded all of the Norn inhabitants of Artemiidae, although I still wasn’t done hatching everyone. This was no longer an empty aquarium, but a place filled with all sorts of Creatures life. Who will we meet next? Check back soon for the final round of introductions!
