Bounce Into a C1 Beta Testing Opportunity

The Best Subject for a C1 Beta TestIt’s been some time since I last offered a beta testing opportunity, but I’m happy to announce this newest one! The updated Creatures 1 carrot variant, also known as the bouncing carrot, is very close to completion. My own testing has gone well, and now it’s time to set the current version loose in some gardens! You do not need to know anything technical about Creatures in order to help out: I’m seeking all sorts of C1 players to ensure that everything is working properly. Those familiar with CAOS and biochemistry can provide valuable feedback, yet anyone is encouraged to help! This is your chance to test this COB prior to its release.

In Search of Creatures 1 Beta TestersAs with my previous updates, all beta testers will receive credit in the final version. Not everyone will be guaranteed to be accepted, yet if you have some time, please consider volunteering! I appreciate it very much, and it’s also a service to the entire community. Any problems can be caught early on, or I can tweak some of the CAOS based on beta testing reports. Granted, this is a fairly straightforward update: The majority of the coding comes directly from the updated C1 carrot, and most of the coding for bouncing is identical to the original. If you’re looking for a way to get involved with the development of a C1 COB, this is your chance! Even if everything is working as it should, this is still a very important step in releasing this download. Those who have been beta testers in the past are always welcome to return for another round! Hopefully there are at least a few C1 players with some spare time. An early thanks to those who apply!

C1 Carrot Variant Updates Beta Testing Terms

  • I understand that not everyone is guaranteed to become a beta tester.
  • I understand that this is a beta version, and may not be completely error-free.
  • I am available to beta test sometime between January 20-24, 2016.
  • I will provide a report before the end of the day on January 24, 2016.
  • I will not share the beta version download with anyone else.
  • I will do my best to test these carrot variants until they’ve been bounced out!

This beta testing opportunity is now closed. Thank you to those who volunteered to help out!
