Happiness Returns to Albia
After the sadness surrounding the first death in Albia, my Norns are starting to return to normal and smile. Most importantly, Noric and Adria have improved their health as a result of better eating habits. A very special thanks goes to Tarlia, who pointed out that I was saying “get food” instead of “push food” as a command to eat. A quick verification with the Creatures 1 manual, and I was officially embarrassed. All this time, Noric has been right!
With a little change in my wording, he started shoveling in every kind of food he could get his hands on. I brought him what seemed like a never ending supply of carrots, and Noric was sufficiently satisfied. I can just imagine what it felt like to have a full stomach again after so long! Noric was probably laughing at me, though, and feeling pretty good about himself. After all, in this case, he was smarter than me! That was a rather disconcerting thought, but Norns only have a couple of opportunities to be highly intelligent.
Avira has been spending a lot of time in the garden, enjoying the sunshine and toys. She has always been a good eater, but now I think she has a better understanding of what I’m talking about when it comes to eating. She will soon be an adult and ready to usher in the next generation! Her older brother, Diren, has been virtually absent from the group, preferring to keep to himself. I realize now that I haven’t taken many photos of him: Keep an eye out for his update! I’m sure there will be a lot more about him in the future.
Coffee can become an addiction for Norns, and Evrietta learned this quite easily. She had been wandering about for some time, looking for something new to taste. She, too, is an excellent eater. She stumbled across the coffeepot, and it was love at first sip! Maybe she had a little too much, but Evrietta was just too happy to stop! I left her to her own devices for now, although a caffeine addiction can be a problem in Creatures 1.
Most importantly, Adria has emerged from her depressive state after the death of Arnessa, her third baby. Her life force was down around 30% at one point, and even with my corrected eating command, she refused to do much of anything. I gave her some peace and quiet for a while, during which time she had a feast of carrots and honey! In a fitting move, as soon as she was happy, she decided to announce her desire to run. Adria runs more than any other Norn, and now she can finally do it without having the feeling of incessant hunger! Joy and happiness have found their places again in Albia.

No problem, I’m glad I could help. :) Good to see your norn family doing well.
It was an amazing piece of information, and probably something that saved Noric’s life. Believe me, he has nothing but gratitude towards you for pointing out something so important! I think I caught him laughing at me the other day, as if to say “I told you so!” Once again, thanks for the great tip!
