A Norn Reunion and a Tiny Miracle

A bunch of Norns made it to the settlement, thanks to the cart from the desert island! It would have been a good setup, save for the fact that the group included three of the four adult males. Glein certainly enjoyed the new location, though, while Innhavet took the liberty of dozing off. I was fairly certain that I would need to gently guide one or two males back to the main group if any more eggs were to be created in the near future. Arnes might have been fertile, but he was unable to interact with anyone around him.

After a downright struggle in the cable car, I managed to bring Erikstad and Innhavet to the canopy just above the other Norns. Erikstad made a dash for the cable car, as if he wanted to run away! It had already taken off, though, and he was instead rewarded with a couple of delicious carrots. Not a bad prize, considering how long he had been looking for food. His giant smile and happy ears indicated that he finally had a full tummy! Innhavet also enjoyed his own feast, but he was more subdued in his reaction. He had a laid back image to uphold!

As Erikstad and Innhavet descended into the midst of the other Norns, they formed a sort of reunion. Only Bolga and Glein were not present at some point, which still made for a large group of Norns! I was touched when they gathered around Arnes, instead of heading off on their own. His life force was still falling, due to his lack of eating: Although 55% was not cause for alarm, it was starting to drop off a little more quickly. No pregnancies resulted from the nearly constant kiss popping, but I was happy that there would at least be hope for another egg. The group eventually began to disperse, and Arnes was left alone with his brother, Erikstad.

I failed to capture the moment due to my amazement, but Arnes finally moved! He took a few tentative steps to the left, and devoured either a carrot or the morning glory. No matter: He had finally eaten! I watched him walk from the edge of the temple all the way over to the submarine bay. All the while, Erikstad followed him around and tickled him every few steps. It was a miracle! I was surprised and excited to finally see Arnes moving about like the other Norns! A little encouragement from his brother was all he needed.

My amazement was about to grow tenfold, however. Arnes is pictured here, peeking out of the left side of the submarine. Just before it had begun its underwater journey, there was a series of kiss pops, and Dalselv was happily pregnant. I took a look at the newly created genome, and nearly fell out of my chair: Arnes was the father! He had accomplished what I thought would be impossible. A closer look revealed that he had passed on his two debilitating mutations, yet he was proof that the mutations were not permanently crippling. Go Arnes!

Everyone was pretty worn out after the hubbub of activity with the main group. Kleppstad was the first to leave on his own and head off for the garden: I still think that he has a slight tendency to travel to the left rather than the right, due to his mutation that rewarded him only for moving left during infancy. Forvika soon followed him, and I hoped for another quick pregnancy! Alas, one unsuccessful kiss pop was enough to put them to sleep.
