Announcing CreatureLink at Discover Albia
After a bit of brainstorming and a decent bit of work, I’m very pleased to announce the opening of CreatureLink! This is a new part of Discover Albia designed to link Creatures and players through generations. The bottom line is that the extra Creatures that have been mentioned are now adoptable!
Currently, all of the exported C3/DS Norns are now available for adoption. With CreatureLink, adopters will have the opportunity to submit the descendants of these Norns at a later date, thus creating a chain of related Norns. Creatures 1 Norns will be added as soon as I get ready to begin the next generation: Hopefully there will be a Creature for everyone at some point! Grendels and Ettins may also have a place down the line.
Feel free to share any comments or thoughts about CreatureLink. Love it or hate it? I hope that it creates a somewhat new and unique activity in the Creatures community. At the very least, there are plenty of healthy C3/DS Norns of all ages to add to an existing gene pool. I say it a whole lot, but I mean it: Enjoy!
Awesome idea. I’ll definitely get into it once the C1 Norns are added.
I hope it’s something the community will get into. An entire family of Norns all derived from the same genetic stock would be an amazing study.
Thanks for your comments, ArchDragon! It’s more of an experiment to see if anyone would be interested. However, I’m not at all opposed to having the Norns normally adopted: Just wanted to offer a little bit of a unique twist! It will be interesting to see the differences in descendents, and also to see how many players can share a common link. It will take me a bit of time to go through the C1 Norns, but they’re definitely on the way!

Hey Jessica, thank you so much for sharing the lovely Bellis with me. I didn’t know what CreatureLink was or how it worked until I read this post. I’ve been too busy paying attention to the rest of your blog. ^_^; Would you like any of Bellis’ descendants from my world of Horse Norns to add to the CreatureLink resource? I’m happy to check who are her children and share them. (I have saved copies of all my Norns).
No problem, SpringRain! She ended up in a wonderful home: It was nice to watch her grow up in your blog posts! You’re more than welcome to send in some of her descendants! I actually would prefer original Norns, rather than copies, if possible. If you’re not able to part with any of her children, anyone from your later generations that can be traced back to her would work! Thanks!
