A Massive Case of Dislike in Creatures Docking Station

A look of sheer and utter surprise met me when I jumped back into Creatures Docking Station! Prindar was helped along by some histamines, but he was generally excited to be back in action. I last left the population on the verge of youth and adulthood: There were only a few Norns who needed to grow up before the next alpha couple would be decided. I also had plans to move everyone to a new world, both to remove clutter and to move to a brand new home. Prindar was at the top of my list for the next alpha male! He had been the reason why his youngest brothers had even made it into the Norn terrarium, and he was generally a very likeable character. Look at all those spots and stripes!

The rest of the males were quite spread out, although Guffin seemed to be the most prone to exploring. Either that, or he wanted some peace and quiet! The males were actually relatively quiet, though, and I often had to carefully look through the scenery to spot one. I supposed that with all of their drives at a low level, there was nothing to really chatter about! Creatures are not known for making happy conversation: They seem to be much better at offering solutions to problems, or expressing their overall dislike for a particular Norn, Grendel, or Ettin. Guffin only wanted to tell me that he planned on eating those seeds. All of them.

There was an enormous difference in sound level where the females were located! The Norn Meso echoed with the feelings of everyone and how much they disliked Davira. Their incessant chatter drove me to the brink of sanity, and even Xeeril attempted to run away from the noise! This is one of the very unfortunate downsides to educated Norns in C3/DS… They just love to have an endless loop about how much they dislike others. Repeatedly.

I carried Davira away from the terrible bullying, and hoped that she would settle down. Having a strong Hardman Norn background, though, she barely looked phased! Indeed, she shouted back about how she disliked pretty much every other Norn. No one bullied Davira and got away with it! Even with her out of the immediate picture, the others continued. I assumed that she must have slapped the others quite a lot to alleviate her anger, but Norns have tricky minds. Maybe Davira ate all of the food one time, and the others decided to hold a grudge against her. They certainly seemed unable to stop disliking her!

The story was the same everywhere I turned in the Norn Meso. Kiarya, Leyfin, and Inlex made a pretty trio with their unique looks. Inlex actually suffered from malnutrition amongst all of the talking, and I took it upon myself to lead her to some food. I will probably let nature take its course with future generations, since the idea is to only nurture those Norns who can easily and properly care for themselves. It’s just so hard to not do anything sometimes! Yet I know it is all for the best to ensure future Norns are more independent. Inlex quieted down after her meal.

Could Hiara have struck a better pose? I doubted it! She looked adorable as she watched Yenki and Poplis become sleepy. Their time in Remniova was almost over, as another world began to take form. I had a mass export and import event coming up, but it would be worth it! I just hoped the females would forget about their dislike for Davira… Or at least forget how to express it! A quiet Norn is a happy Norn.
