A Cause for a Great Albian Holiday

With Rhun off to some other part of Albia, Orgoch decided to treat herself to a short vacation just before she laid her egg. I made sure that she was pleasantly surprised with an endless supply of honey… Carrots might have been healthier, but Orgoch had already taken care of herself. A nice little treat was just the thing to make her pregnancy fly by without a hitch! She was rather protective of her new egg, and somehow thought that a photograph might cause some issues. I was able to just barely snap a photo of it, though Orgoch made sure to hide it as best she could and keep it from being seen! Maybe she just wanted to be in the spotlight.

My resident Grendels, Ellidyr and Achren, reunited near the cable car. I had a good laugh over a short journey they took: One wanted to go left, while the other wanted to immediately return to the platform: The eternal struggle and compromise of relationships! They tried to blend into the scenery at one point, which immediately roused my suspicions. Fifteen. Achren would soon lay their fifteenth egg together! Just when I thought they were finished with that chapter of life, these Grendels threw me for another loop!

Taran no longer looked like the baby of the group, though he would forever be the youngest. He set up his home near the beehives… And he was an absolutely terrible beekeeper, though he never gave up hope! Some may remember how he formed a wonderful friendship with Orwen, and how I anticipated that this would help them become even closer as adults. Somehow, Orwen followed Taran to the beehives, and one might guess at the cause of his smile and Orwen’s nap! Such crafty beings Norns can be, though they’re also very predictable.

One interesting genetic mutation of this unborn Norn is the fact that he or she will be unable to convert glycogen into glucose. Instead, glucose will be produced by a decrease in boredom. Talk about a strange chemical reaction! However, this might mean that this Norn will require a constant supply of glucose to stay active and healthy. This might be one instance where a lifetime supply of honey would not necessarily be considered bad!

As everyone settled down to hibernate for a few days in anticipation of the holidays, I found Gwydion on the desert island with the cutest look on his face. Although the weather was warm and pleasant, he still seemed like a festive sort! From all of my Norns and Grendels, as well as myself, I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Stay safe, and have a wonderful time with friends and family! It’s always a pleasure interacting with everyone in the Creatures community, and I could not be more thankful for such a great group of people. Enjoy the season, and make sure to celebrate with your Norns, Grendels, and Ettins! Regular updates will be coming closer to the new year, so check back often!
