Watching Over an Egg with Hungry Eyes

After a brush with danger, Losthrayte was soon back to her very healthy self! She was still very interested in carrots, which helped Brekennion when he showed up carrying one. There was only one way for these two Norns to mark such a joyous occasion, and that was with new life. Brekennion was turning into quite the popular guy! I had nothing but good things to say about him, since he was an excellent eater. It was only a shame that his knowledge couldn’t be passed down as a hereditary trait. That would certainly help with the overall intelligence of my population! At least Losthrayte benefitted from Brekennion’s shared love of carrots.

When their egg was at last in the world, Brekennion took an unusual and adorable interest in it! He kept careful watch over the tiny object, and tried to pick it up on several occasions. A couple of hovering bees made him nervous, yet there was no way to tell him that the egg was tougher than anything in Albia. I wondered what Brekennion would have done if he could pick up the egg… His love of food gave me the suspicion that he would have tried to gobble it up! Luckily, his position as the egg’s guardian was a successful one until I moved it. Brekennion was then faced with finding something else to hold his interest!
