A Batch of New Creatures 1 Memories
Thrennion began his life with a couple of unsettling genetic mutations, only he turned out to be much more adaptable than I thought. When I pictured him as an adult, I saw a rather unhappy Norn. Fast forward to his actual adult life in Albia, and it was a wonderful one! He flashed me a grin as he finished off the contents of another honeypot. There was no holding Thrennion back! He certainly seemed to be in much better shape than his brother, Preetar. I’m usually in for a surprise when I pick the more independent Norn. Turns out Thrennion was even better suited to caring for himself than I originally thought!
Preetar took a nap next to the deathcap mushrooms. Guess what? He woke up hungry as ever, ignored the honeypot with the copious amount of delicious food, and went straight for the most dangerous substance in Creatures 1. Well done, Preetar! I saw the whole thing coming, so I was ready to make sure he got his digestive tract back on target. I used to panic anytime a Norn’s life force fell below 50%, yet the Observation Kit can help point out glycotoxin poisoning quickly. The kit doesn’t classify this as being sick, so a Norn who is listed as healthy with a rapid decline in life force usually can be found with the weed.
I was lucky enough to witness a very adorable moment as I passed by the incubator area. Dahloi abandoned the island in search of something else, and he came across Hybralvao. They fell in step like old friends, doing practically everything together. They even fell asleep right next to each other for a synchronized nap! I know I often talk far too much about the merits of Creatures 1 Grendels, but this was one of those pictures that just illustrated the point. Without the help of the Grendel Friendly COB, something like this would never be possible. It was wonderful to see Dahloi and Hybralvao happy together!
Before long, though, Dahloi returned to his nomadic ways and went off in search of something else. Perhaps he simply enjoyed spreading his love around? In any case, Hybralvao was unable to keep up with him, courtesy of her elder Norn gait. Never fear: She still had plenty of spunk in her! The latest craze was with the word drop. I tried to get her interested in eating a healthy herb, but Hybralvao wasn’t having any of it… “Drop herb” was all she had to say about that! What a silly old lady she was. The only thing she lacked was an appetite, and her life force slowly dropped. Eat, Hybralvao!
