Gliding Into Artemiidae and New World

A New Creatures Docking Station WorldWelcome to Artemiidae! After weeks of careful planning and a complete backstory, the first inhabitants were ready for their grand debut! This C3/DS world will be treated a little differently, in that updates will likely encompass longer periods of time and each Creature won’t be followed too closely. In other words, expect this to be documented like a wolfling run… Only not at first! Baby Norns are far too cute to gloss over, and the very first one to hatch in Artemiidae was simply adorable. My custom Protective Tub catalogue file will be available for all soon, and it picked an interested name for this first little guy: Azure Inermiidae! He made himself right at home behind a piece of coral.

A Difficult Lesson for a Newborn NornThese Reef Gliders, created by Grendel Man, made for a couple of lovely hatchlings! Of course, the second Norn had a bit of a rough start. Platinum Tropheus discovered how some of the anemones were not too pleasant. She looked inconsolable, but I was going to let this world evolve on its own with very little intervention from myself. The jellyfish and adult crabs seemed to swarm around this poor Norn, though, and I was tempted to help her out after watching her look so terribly sad. Nature had to take its course, though, and it was actually beneficial for her to learn these lessons at an early age. There were plenty of other things for her to focus on and eat, which eventually helped with her happiness!

An Aquatic Friendship Between NornsThese two Reef Gliders would be the only ones to start out in Artemiidae, as there will be plenty of other breeds to hatch! Fortunately for them, I chose a small area of Artemia Sea to let them grow up in. This was somewhat isolated, and filled with plenty of food. It looked like a pretty good nursery for these Norns! As with most aquatic breeds, the Reef Gliders would not gain the ability to swim until later in life. They got along quite well as they followed each other about and started to do everything together. They even had a synchronized nap! I supposed they were practicing for synchronized swimming…

A Perfect Place to Grow Up in Creatures Docking StationWith the first two Norns settled in, I had plenty of work ahead of me! There were fourteen more inhabitants to introduce, after all. We likely won’t check in with Azure Inermiidae and Platinum Tropheus for some time, since the rest of the introductions will take up a good deal of time! The guidelines for this world concept are still a little flexible, as I want to see how things progress before nailing down every detail. In particular, the way future generations will be handled (and hatched) is something I’ll decide on later. For now, welcome the first Norns of this world and get ready to meet everyone else! Think you know what other breeds will live here? You may be surprised when they’re revealed!
