Honey Coated Norns with Sugary Senses

A Very Happy Horse NornMy last journey to Albia led me to discover some rather unintelligent behavior. Luckily, my Norns decided to put on a show to prove that they had a sense of humor… And maybe a little intelligence? Ha ha! Brekennion greeted me with a full paced gallop that looked like he was about to fall off the edge. Good thing for him that there was an invisible barrier to keep him safe! More importantly, that innocent honeypot was protected from a horrible crash.

A Norn with a Whole Lot of Sugary GoodnessNot too far away, Hybralvao decided that the best way to recover from her second pregnancy was to devour every bit of honey in sight! She was still attempting to find any last remnants of the sugary substance when I stumbled across her. At least she had enough sense to finish it off close to the refrigerator and hives. That made my job of refilling the honeypot that much easier! Although there are ways to have infinite honeypots, I still enjoy scouring Albia for any empty ones and topping them off. Suffice to say that my bees are very, very busy bees all the time! Not that they seemed to mind, thankfully.

The Trouble with a Santa Norn BeardI had a feeling that Hleengar was going to be a central element of December with his colorful Santa appearance. I last saw him deep in slumber, but he woke up with the desire for exploration. He stumbled across the smallest Norn, Mayth, and he was instantly enchanted with someone else who had some interesting white hair! Mayth had to close his eyes to avoid the ticklish Santa beard from getting him in the eyes. It looked like the start of a friendship, unlike Hleengar’s rivalry with Brekennion!

The Stealthy Moves of a Hungry NornKrahtlaysi was my silly Norn who never seemed to get anything right, yet she had me nearly falling over with her sudden genius move for getting honey! She decided to try sneaking up on Athahain. The latter was very much a fan of her silence, so the slightest noise was enough to give away Krathlaysi’s position. That, and the rather deafening noise of the ocean cart she arrived on. I was somewhat proud of her for the initial idea, even though it resulted in utter disappointment. I wondered if maybe this odd pairing would actually work out and end Athahain’s isolation.

Ignorance at the Creatures 1 BeehivesStill on the subject of honey, Losthrayte completely ignored the honeypot near her and decided to go straight to the source! The trouble was that she went a little too early in the production process… The bees were not exactly happy with her inquisitive pokes, and they rewarded her with a couple of piercing stings! Losthrayte took quite some time to get the idea, so it was pretty clear that letting her live near the beehives would be dangerous to her health. All the same, she was pretty independent and headed off to eat a tomato to soothe her wounds. Brekennion was nearby, too, and seemed very happy to have her around.

Early Holiday Joy for a Santa NornThe honey craze soon subsided, but the silliness continued on! Hleengar decided to spread some holiday cheer by showing off his amazing dexterity and a joyful smile. He was the only Norn who was impervious to the charms of honey… Or so he thought. I figured he would have his moment when he emptied an entire honeypot all by himself! Yet he seemed to have some insider information about some upcoming events in Albia… Word had it that a new member of this generation was going to make an entrance, and everyone would need to be on their best behavior for a video session. Maybe Hleengar’s eyes had a little bit of mischief in them. These Norns likely had some silly behavior saved up for just such an occasion!
