Finalizing the Sixth Generation of Norns in C3/DS
Waiting to hatch in Creatures Docking Station were five eggs from Carthial and Wynda. I seemed to be in luck, for Simteo was exceptionally distracted with everything other than the females! That gave me some time to catch up. The first of Carthial’s eggs hatched into a female named Varel. Though adorable, she was very similar in appearance to the rest of the females. I wondered if there would be any sort of diversity for the next generation to look forward to…
I raced off to the Norn Meso to pop out a new first generation female, whom I had almost forgotten all about! Wyelth emerged from her egg, only to be swarmed by Norns who looked almost identical. Her Bruin Norn appearance was a welcome sight, and I could only hope that she would actually have a few daughters of her own. We seemed to be doomed to fall into a perpetual loop of identical Norns! Wyelth carried the cheese as her mark, which was more fitting than anticipated: She became obsessed with pushing the empathic vendor, yet no one could complain! Plenty of food for all!
A Zebra Norn head carefully peeped out of its shell, but it was unfortunately a male, and not a female. Xaren had to join the rest of the inferior males in exportation land. Funny how a Zebra Norn head was bad news for the past couple of generations, yet it became a welcome sight for this upcoming generation! At least Xaren was able to enjoy a few seeds before being shipped out. He used the lift, which wasn’t amazing… Considering that it was the only thing to do!
Wynda’s first two eggs ensured that her lineage would continue, though her daughters looked nothing like her! Ysha and Zorvee took after Simteo, like nearly everyone else, yet they were not identical at a genetic level. Apparently they weren’t on the same page in terms of social skills, either. “Slap!” went Ysha, quickly followed by another “SLAP!” from Zorvee. I hoped it was just their way of establishing dominance during the baby stage… The world already had enough slapping without their antics! It seemed like the Hardman Norn genes formed some aggressive personality tendencies.
Was it at all surprising that Wynda’s final egg was a male? Not at all. Yet he had the Zebra Norn head, which was a surprise! Aroo enjoyed a little playtime in the Veridia canopy with me, although I had my eyes on several other things before he was exported. Simteo was at his worst again, showing no interest in the females and falling asleep far too much. Nice job, alpha male. But in a way, thank you!
I was forced to wait, yet Simteo eventually got around to kisspopping with Hartinnia. She had one of the more unique appearances, yet she was only pregnant with a single egg. There was one chance to pass along her genes and have a daughter. Everything, apart from her arms, was different from the females of the next generation. I was tempted to cheat and look at the unborn Norn’s genome to find out just what appearance genes had been inherited, yet I settled with the decision to leave everything to surprise. Hartinnia laid her egg with very little fuss, and acted like nothing out of the ordinary had occurred. She seemed like she would have been happier with more eggs! That marked the end of her time in the world, although I hoped that her one child would be a female.
Success! Hartinnia’s egg hatched into a female, who inherited both her head and tail. Binnie was an adorable little bundle of Norn as soon as she rolled out of her egg. She didn’t inherit those wildly colored legs from her mother, although appearances really aren’t the most important! I just get excited over diversity, especially since it’s a bit difficult to come by with this world concept. Practically everyone is related, although I rely on random mutations to keep the genetic pool a bit more diverse. Speaking of which, Grinae was soon pregnant with a single egg. Would she be as lucky as her sister?
Could this little guy be any more adorable? Although Colshim was a male and would be exported, I absolutely loved his appearance with his little red-tipped tail! Oddly enough, three full sisters began this generation together: Filana, Grinae, and Hartinnia. Each had given birth to one or two eggs, yet only Hartinnia’s egg held a female. Hopefully she will be able to continue on this family line in future generations. I might just have to keep Colshim around in another world… He looks so unique! For now, his residence is the exported Norns folder.
The two unfortunate ladies from this generation were Xaria and Oasia, who were unable to lay any eggs. I gave them one last chance, but Simteo seemed ready to retire early. Ylukyun created the Improved CFE Treehuggers, which I will be trying out in the future. Oasia suffered from the typical Treehugger crippled syndrome… She barely moved most of her life! Xaria was simply unlucky and in the wrong place at all the wrong times. Although Caeriv was descended from the Magma Norn line, indicated with the yellow bells, this mark will no longer be carried by any of the females. Those genes will carry on through the alpha males.
After an exceptionally long time in Veridia, Simteo and Caeriv’s reign as the alpha couple had to come to an end. The alpha female seemed quite upset over her dethroning, while Simteo couldn’t care less. Did he ever care about much of anything? Ha ha! The next generation is relatively small, with just four males and nine females. All of the males have identical appearances, although I plan on taking a look at their genes before deciding on my top pick. I’ll be showcasing everyone before making a video of the next alpha couple succession test: Keep an eye out! There may also be an offshoot world with some of my favorites, although this will always be the main world.

Ahh! Colsim’s little red-tail-tip is adorabe! Sorry to hear that you don’t give the older females another chance anymore, like you did in previous generations. That treehugger green certainly would have spruced stuff up! (I haven’t had issues with that Breed, maybe I’m just lucky so far? *doubleknocks wood*)
Yes please on the offshoot world! :D
